GAME BOY ESSENTIALS

Game Boy Essentials Is Now Portable!

Have you been reading Game Boy Essentials but wished it was portable? Are you tired of having to carry a large computer to read the website? Do you wish there was an easy way to access the website while on the go? Now you can with the release of the first volume of Game Boy Essentials!

Enough joking; it was always my intention to print the articles I was writing on this website and I finally finished the first volume. The book is a small 5.5 inches by 8.5 inches paperback. So if you want to support me and the dumb labour of love that is Game Boy Essentials, buy the book. It includes the first 12 articles from the website, clocking at a breezy 156 pages.

Game Boy Essentials Volume I is the collection of gameboyessentials.com’s first twelve articles of in-depth analysis of select Game Boy games.

Here is a sample of the book:

Ranging from seminal classics like The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening to forgotten titles like Yars’ Revenge, it’s not just a list of the greatest games; it’s the games, good or bad, you should play to understand the universal appeal of the Game Boy.

The book is self-published through Createspace (basically Amazon) and is available in two versions: a black & white and a colour version. Amazon’s pricing structure means the colour version is $30 USD. For this reason I recommend getting the black & white version for a very affordable $10 USD.

The book is also available in the European Amazon stores. You can search for it there as well. If I sell 100 copies of this book in the next 10 years I’ll be very happy. Help me get there!
